Day at the Capitol

Each biennium, MNASCA hosts a Day at the Capitol—a vital opportunity for members to engage directly with state legislators and advocate for issues that matter most to Minnesota’s ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and clinics. This event serves as a powerful platform to shape the future of outpatient surgical care in our state.

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, MNASCA members gathered at the Minnesota Capitol to meet with key lawmakers and speak to the critical challenges and opportunities facing ASCs.

Highlights from the Day:

• Direct Engagement with Legislators: Members held one-on-one conversations with Minnesota lawmakers, offering firsthand insights into the contributions and needs of ASCs across the state. These discussions helped elevate our shared priorities and strengthen legislative awareness.

• Insights from Policymakers: Attendees heard directly from state officials about current legislative initiatives and the ways ASCs can play a proactive role in shaping healthcare outcomes in Minnesota.

• Building Relationships for the Future: This year’s event laid the groundwork for continued collaboration with policymakers, fostering long-term relationships that will support our advocacy efforts for years to come.
